1- How to make a wall mounted flagpole. Regulations on National Flag (National Flag)
According to Article 13, Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam 2013 and Instruction No. 3420 / HD-BVHTTDL dated October 2, 2012 on the use of National Flag , The national emblem, the national anthem, and the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh stipulate:

- The national flag of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is rectangular in shape, two-thirds wide in width, with a red background, and a five-pointed gold star in the middle.

- The distance from the point between the star to the tip of the star is equal to one fifth of the length of the National Flag.

2- The time and way of flying the national flag
a) Hanging time: The national flag is hung outdoors on the occasion of major holidays, political events, and traditional New Year of the nation. The time to start and end the flag raising on political holidays and events complies with the notices of the City People's Committee and local authorities.

b) How to hang: The national flag must be hung in the most solemn position, when hanging, pay attention not to invert the star, the top of the star must be in the middle, pointing up.

II- Provisions on the hanging of the national flag
1- General provisions
- The national flag may be hung by a flag hanger or with a flag string but must ensure the size, length and angle of the flag (Appendix 1).

- When flying a flag, the size of the flag must correspond with the flagpole or flag handle. Flagpoles, flagpoles and flagpoles must ensure aesthetics, uniform length of flagpoles and flagpoles is 2m. Do not use wires to tie into flagpoles or flag handles. Should use lead wire, ribbed wire or parachute cord consistent with the size and color of flagpoles, flag handles.

2- Specific provisions
Depending on the architecture, location and size of the headquarters of agencies, units, businesses, schools, buildings, condominiums and houses, where the national flag is designed (Annex 2) and ensure the following:

a) Hanging the national flag at agencies, units, schools, businesses, buildings and condominiums:

- The Fatherland Flag hanging in front of the head office, on the roof of offices, units, schools, businesses and high-rise apartment buildings must ensure the most solemn position.

- When hanging the national flag and the national flag, the national flag is on the left and the national flag is on the right (according to the head office facing the road).

- For agencies, units, schools, businesses and high-rise buildings with flag posts, the national flag is hoisted on the top of the flag pole.

b) Hanging the national flag at the households

- Households display the national flag in front of their houses.

- The flag hanging point is at least 2m above the ground. The National Flag is hung at an angle of 35 degrees - 45 degrees (350 - 450) compared to the hanging point to keep the flag spreading.

- For households with front gate, the national flag is hung on the gate. For households with walls without gates, the national flag on the front of the house must be hung. For high-rise households, fly the national flag at the first floor railing of the house facade.

c) National flags are flown at religious and belief establishments and festivals areas:

National flags hung at religious and belief establishments and in festive areas must be hung at solemn places and higher than festive and religious flags.

d) National flags are flown on ships

- Foreign vessels operating on Vietnamese territorial waters must fly the national flag of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the top of the highest column of ships and boats.

- Vietnamese ships and boats fly the national flag at the stern of the ship steering column.

- On public holidays as prescribed or when there is a notice from the Chairman of the City People's Committee, all ships and boats anchoring or docking in ports or rivers must fly the national flag.

3- Prohibited regulations
- Using the national flag not in accordance with the regulations on size and shaping.

- Using the national flag that has faded, torn, punctured.

- Setting up the national flag on sidewalks and paths.
